Subject Guidelines and Rules

Choosing the right subjects is key to your success in Senior Secondary! Here’s a quick overview of what you need to keep in mind:

  • Year 10: This year is all about exploring different subjects and discovering what interests you most. You’ll choose a mix of core subjects and electives that help you build a solid foundation for VCE, VCE Vocational Major (VM), or VET.

  • Years 11 & 12: As you move into VCE or VCE VM, you’ll select subjects that align with your career goals or further education plans. There are rules about how many subjects you need to take and how many can be VET-based. Make sure to follow the course structure to meet graduation requirements and set yourself up for success!

Remember, it’s important to check with the Senior School Team as you make your choices. They’re here to guide you through this exciting time and help you pick the best pathway for your future.
